What security standards does the Teams Connector have?
The Teams Connector from Easybell is a solution for easily integrating SIP Trunks into the Microsoft Teams unified communications platform. However, its user-friendly setup does not compromise security.
The following measures protect you and your data when using the Teams Connector:
Direct Registration with Microsoft
The Teams Connector allows you to log in and authenticate securely directly with Microsoft Teams. After you log in to my.easybell and begin setting up the Teams Connector, the Teams Connector sends an authentication request to Microsoft. The resulting authentication dialog is forwarded to you directly by Microsoft without any intermediate steps, and you can then log in. Microsoft then notifies us that the MS Teams license authentication was successful. easybell does not store any login credentials and does not have access to your Microsoft account’s personal data at any time. Data protection is therefore fully guaranteed.
Since the login is handled directly by Microsoft, two-factorauthentication is also fully supported—provided you have set it up in your Microsoft account.
By the way: Since you’re logging in directly through Microsoft, we unfortunately cannot provide support for authentication issues. In such cases, please contact Microsoft.
Encryption between Teams and the Teams Connector
Communication between Microsoft Teams and the Teams Connector is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) by default. All metadata sent from the Microsoft Teams clients to the Teams Connector is therefore protected from unauthorized access in this way.
Data Centers in Europe
Both the Teams Connector and the associated telephony infrastructure are hosted in Europe within easybell’s network infrastructure. Data is exchanged between the individual components via VPN networks. This makes unauthorized access even more difficult. All processes comply with the GDPR.
Phone Settings for Your Safety
With Easybell’s phone features, such as blocklists, you can make your phone service even more secure.
- Block Lists: You can use blocklists to block or allow specific phone numbers. Creating blocklists is easy via my.easybell. The blocklists you set up also work when making calls via the Teams Connector, so you can effectively block unwanted calls in Microsoft Teams as well.
