Many mobile network operators play a recorded message when a mobile line cannot be reached. When implemented correctly, this is realised as so-called ‘early media’. Based on this feedback, we can recognise that the call has not been answered on the mobile phone, and the incoming call continues to be signalled to all other registered devices.

Mobile network operators may use their own information or notification services when subscribers cannot be reached. In such cases, the mobile network answers the call to play a corresponding message. The caller is informed that the person being called will be notified of the call.

In this case, we cannot tell whether you or the recorded message answered the call. The parallel call is also no longer displayed on other devices.

If your mobile network operator offers such a service, you may be able to deactivate it. You can find information on this in your mobile network operator’s documentation or by contacting the operator’s customer support.
