Show my phone number only occasionally (FRITZ!Box)

If you generally do not want to display your phone number and only want to show it to the person you’re calling in specific situations, follow these steps:

• In my.easybell, set the phone number caller ID to the phone number you want to display when you wish to share your phone number. You can find detailed instructions for this in our help article Change Phone Number Caller ID
• Go to the user interface of your FRITZ!Box and navigate to the "Telephony/Telephony Devices" section.
• Set up your telephone device if you haven’t already done so.
• For analog devices, click the "Edit" button and go to the "Telephony Device Features" tab. There, enable the "Hide own phone number (CLIR)" function and confirm with "OK."
• For ISDN devices, you must configure the phone to prevent your phone number from being transmitted. Please refer to your phone’s user manual to locate this setting.

Your phone number will now normally not be transmitted. If you want to transmit your phone number in specific cases, simply dial the code #31# before the phone number.
