With extracted extensions, you can quickly and easily separate individual extensions from a trunk. This extracted extension then has its own SIP access details, and the phone number is no longer signalled via the original trunk.

This allows staff members to set up and use this phone number whilst working from home, for example.

Here’s how it works:

1. Open Phone Settings

First, please go to my.easybell.

There, please click on “Phone Settings” in the left-hand menu bar.

Alternatively, you can also click on “Manage Phone Numbers” directly in the my.easybell dashboard.

2. Manage Phone Numbers

The phone settings for businesses are divided into two tabs: Connections and Phone Numbers.

Please switch to the "Phone Numbers" tab.

3. Create a new extension

Please click on the phone number block from which you want to extract an extension.

Then, next to “Extracted Extensions (DDI),” click “Create New Extension.”

4. Select an extension

Please enter the extension number you want to extract from the phone number block in the field.

Finally, click the “Next” button to save your changes.

5. Select a connection

Next, please select the connection to which the extracted extension should be assigned.

After clicking “Assign,” the process will be complete in a few moments.

6. Check the status

You can now see the extracted extension number in the details of the phone number block.

You can find the SIP login credentials in the connection details. To do this, click on the connection in “Phone Settings” to which you assigned the extracted extension.
