Whilst ISDN and primary multiplex offered no possibility of encryption whatsoever, easybell customers can make use of this option thanks to Voice-over-IP technology. The two main protocols used for this are Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) and Transport Layer Security (TLS).

Provided that all end devices involved are correctly configured and support these protocols, the connection to our servers is encrypted and protected against unauthorised eavesdropping. Our data centre is ISO 27001 certified and, of course, easybell complies with the strict European and national telecommunications regulations.

Please note, however, that this only applies to calls within our network. For you, this means that your business calls via easybell or calls to other easybell subscribers can be encrypted. Calls to other networks, however, are only accepted unencrypted by the respective operator.

In our Help Centre, you will find numerous guides and tips on how to set up SRTP and TLS.

Further information can be found under “How to encrypt your calls”.
