Why can't I reach the registrar anymore?
If you are unable to reach one of our registrars even though your internet connection is working, your IP address may have been blocked due to a suspected attack and added to our Fail2Ban blocklist. A strong indication of this is if you can no longer ping the registrar but can still access easybell.de.
This can happen if a SIP client from your internal network is making frequent failed registration attempts on the platform. In the vast majority of cases, this is caused by incorrect or outdated login credentials. Since devices with incorrect login credentials sometimes send new registration attempts very frequently, they can jeopardize the quality of service for all users. Therefore, we block IP addresses that send us a high volume of failed registration attempts.

Here's how to unblock your blocked IP address yourself
- If possible, please identify which of your devices is causing the failed login attempts. Otherwise, you’ll quickly end up on the blocklist again.
- Log in to your my.easybell account from a location that uses the blocked IP address.
- You will be notified of the blocked IP address directly on the overview page. Click the “Unblock” button.
You should then be able to register again immediately.
We'll need this for further analysis if the lock wasn't the cause
If you are unable to access the customer portal from the blocked IP address, or if your IP address does not appear as blocked, please contact our support team. The following information is required:
- The IP address of the device on which registration fails
- Your public IP address
- The easybell phone number that cannot be registered
- Do you receive a response when you ping sip.easybell.de?
