Set up a greeting for my voicemail
You can find step-by-step instructions on how to set up your voice mail in our detailed guide.
1. Open the configuration
You can manage your voice mail and available messages in the "Phone Settings" section of my.easybell, under the configuration for your connection or phone numbers for home plans.
In the details of the connection or phone number (residential customers), click “Change” under “Configuration.”
We describe the process in more detail in the instructions for setting up the voice mail.
2. Select an answering machine message
Please scroll down to the "Voicemail" section.
Here, you can either select a standard greeting or add your own.
You should also enter your contact information here so you can be notified of missed calls and receive messages from callers.
2.1. Select Standard Announcements
For standard messages, you can choose between the “Standard Voicemail Message” and the “Standard ‘Unreachable’ Message.” Each phone number has these two standard messages to choose from.
Standard Voicemail Message: Your phone number is announced, and the caller can leave a message.
Standard "Unavailable" Message: Your phone number is also announced, but the caller cannot leave a message.
Click the pencil icon next to the respective message to set up whether and how you want to be notified about missed calls.
Edit default message
Here’s an example: You’ve selected the “Standard Voicemail Message.” Here, you can now choose whether the caller can leave a message and when you’d like to be notified, as well as how you’d like to be notified.
Once you have made all your settings, click “Confirm.”
2.2. Use a personalized greeting
To use your own greeting, click "Add Announcement" instead of the default announcements.
Add a greeting
A new window will open. Here you can enter a name for the message. Please note that the umlauts ä, ü, and ö, as well as the letter ß, are not permitted.
Upload an audio file from your computer as a greeting
Here you can also choose whether the caller should be able to leave a message and, if so, how and when you would like to be notified.
If you are satisfied with your settings, please click “Apply.” You will now be returned to the previous overview.
3. Save settings and finish
Please click "Save" to complete the process. Your new greeting has now been saved.
Now all you have to do is set up a voice mail with your greeting.
